We offer a wide variety of skilled physical therapy interventions that effectively treat various diagnoses such as: concussion, vertigo, balance deficits, arthritis, sports injuries, work injuries, degenerative joint diseases of shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, spine, ankles and feet; joint replacements, pre- and post- surgical interventions as well.

Interventions are customized specifically for each individual patient to help them achieve their goals. Our experienced staff of Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants, along with our support staff help guide you to maximize your recovery. We effectively treat individuals with orthopaedic, sports, and work injuries, chronic conditions and post- surgical conditions as well. Beginning with your first appointment, each patient has an integral part of their rehabilitation plan that includes goals designed specifically for them, along with a plan that will address their individual deficits and their strengths as well.

Our facility is open Monday through Friday with appointment times available between 7 am and 6 pm. We accept most insurances, including Aetna, AmeriHealth Caritas, Auto, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Capital Blue Cross, Cigna, Gateway, Geisinger, Highmark, Humana, Loomis, Medicaid, Medicare, United Healthcare, and Teamsters.

Our administrative assistants will verify your insurance coverage and schedule your first visit promptly. Our experienced and diverse staff of professionals, utilizing a “hands-on” approach to ensure that your rehabilitation program is modified and maintained to maximize your potential for a successful outcome to your specific problem.

Meet Our Team

Collen-Z-Edited

Colleen Zeppos, MPT- Exeter – Colleen graduated from Villanova University in 1997 with a BAS Biology and BAS Honors. She earned her Masters in Physical Therapy in 1999 from Hahnemann University. Colleen has been practicing for over 22 years in an out-patient Orthopedic/ Sports Medicine setting. She is currently the clinical director of our Exeter location. Colleen specializes in hands-on manual therapy including IASTM (Hawk Grips certified), myofascial release, and muscle energy. She enjoys providing pre and post-operative rehabilitation to all ages. Colleen also has her Direct Access license in the state of Pennsylvania.

Pratishtha-Maharjan-New

Pratistha Maharjan, DPT- Exeter – Pratistha Maharjan ‘Prat’ graduated with a Bachelors in Physical therapy from Rajiv Gandhi University, India and Masters in Kinesiology with Exercise Physiology as her area of study from Western Illinois University. She completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Arcadia University. She had been practicing in Orthopedic outpatient clinic and home health in for 3 years in New York city. She uses Maitland approach for manual therapy and exercise therapy for treatment of variety of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions.

Nicole-LeVan-Rubida-Finished

Nicole LeVan-Rubida, DPT- Exeter – Nicole graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2003 with a BAS in Exercise Physiology Cum Laude and a certificate in global studies. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2007 from the University of Pittsburgh. Nicole started her career as a travel PT practicing in multiple settings including acute care, acute rehab, home health, and SNF, but has the most experience in outpatient neurology, vestibular/concussion and orthopedics. She is also a APTA Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurology and maintains a Neuro-IFRAH certification for stroke rehabilitation. She has been practicing for 15 years.

Allison-Jakavick

Allison Jakavick, DPT- Exeter – Alli graduated from Immaculata University with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science before receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 2019. Alli has experience ranging from outpatient orthopedic and neurologic interventions to acute rehab. She is an Exeter High School graduate, and is passionate about post-operative recovery, sports medicine and rehabilitation. In her spare time, Alli enjoys spending time with family and 4 cats, traveling and doing anything outdoors.

Beth Krick, PTA-Exeter – Beth graduated from Alvernia College in 1999 with an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy. She has been practicing in the area for 22 years primarily in an outpatient orthopedic setting. Her experience includes general orthopedic including cervical and lumbar spine incorporating manual therapy, IASTM, and kinesiotaping. She also has extensive experience with vestibular rehabilitation including BPPV, vestibular hypofunction, concussions, and multifactorial balance deficits.

Ashley Long, PTA-Exeter – Ashley is a Physical Therapist Assistant for SIR at our Exeter location. She graduated in 2016 from Penn State Hazleton with an Associates Degree as a PTA. She has been practicing for four years now, with special interests in Orthopedic joint replacements and sports related injuries. She has a special place in her heart for the elderly population and feels that restoring patients in this age range back to a functional status, is very rewarding. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors and playing with any neighborhood dog she can find, with hopes of having one of her own someday soon.

Kimberly A Boyer, PTA-Exeter – Kim graduated from Alvernia College May of 1987 with an Associates degree of Science and Physical Therapy Assistance. Kim has been working here in Berks County for 34 years in a variety of settings. She has worked with early intervention with children 0-3 yrs of age, out patient orthopedics, Acute care rehabilitation, and a nursing home. Kim enjoys working with all age groups and loves to see people return to their desired activity level. Kim loves to use cupping to improve mobility and decrease pain with activity.

Jillian-Sterner

Jillian Sterner, PTA-Exeter – Jillian is a 2012 graduate of Penn State University’s PTA program. Since becoming a licensed PTA, Jillian has worked in a variety of settings throughout PA including acute care, home health, skilled nursing and long term care and orthopedic outpatient settings treating a wide variety of diagnoses. Jillian is a self proclaimed “foodie” and took her grandma’s advice of “eat it while you can!” to heart and loves to try new and interesting culinary creations. In her free time, Jillian enjoys spending time with family, friends and dog and completing DIY projects.
